The luxury to start being picky about coin cases

It may not come as a surprise to learn that the first nation in the world to start issuing postage stamps in 1840 was England. Such stamps are now commonplace across the globe and generally bear the name of the country the issuing country, but shockingly enough that is not the case in the UK. That’s probably because nowhere else was making stamps in the beginning! Also interesting to note that British coins don’t bear the name of their home country either. It’s almost like getting a rare glimpse of a sense of national pride at their homeland being the centre of the world.
That isn’t all there is to be surprised about, however. England is also known for having an extremely large number of variations in its coinage, with over 20 different versions of one-pound and two-pound coins and more than 50 varieties of 50-pence coins in circulation. The coins that were redesigned in 2008 are also quite unique in that how the one-penny, two-pence, five-pence, 10-pence, 20-pence and 50-pence coins form the image of a single shield when arranged together.

The standard coin case seen here is a handy way to store spare change. Its defining features are its simple flapped design and sense of size. The compact form really becomes apparent when viewed alongside a small fold wallet with the same design. It has the reliable beauty of bridle leather, too, so making the bold choice to carry two items by pairing it with a small money clip can add a posh boost to one’s ensemble. Aside from the main coin compartment there is also a small pocket that can hold folded bills or receipts that is sure to prove useful in unexpected ways. This coin case and a card or smartphone for cashless transactions are more than capable of handling most simple outings. So, perhaps it’s time to start putting a little more into how you carry your coins.
